i live and fly in switzerland and can confirm that the maps for switzerland work flawlessly with skydemon. however i think serge ment something else:
under Setup -> Mapping -> Map Layers -> Chart Style  one can choose how the charts should be displayed.. i guess Serge wants a style that reflects the style of the swiss ICAO Charts.

during my ppl training i flew (like probably all trainees in switzerland) with only the swiss ICAO charts and got accustomed to how it shows certain information like airspace levels etc. I felt that the swiss charts are very organized and show all the important information at a glance. so naturally i looked at apps that would display the icao charts rather than their own charts. however, throughout the evaluation of different apps i started to realize, that the icao chart style of switzerland is indeed very good on a printed chart, but on the limited space available on a display (in my case a smasung galaxy note 4 with a 5.7" screen) i quickly realized, that the icao chart was showing too much information at once. i then evaluated skydemon with their own charts and realized, that, since these charts can be used interactively (long tap on an airspace to get all the information about it, only show lower levels when the planned route altitude is much lower than the tma's upper boundaries anyway etc.) tehy don't need to show all the information at once and clutter up your display with unneeded information like frequencies for entering tma's or upper limits above FL100 when planning a flight at 5500ft. instead, skydemon offers frequency information with a single click in flight or with a long tap on the respective area on the chart. when i don't need the frequency, i still get a good overview of where i'm at and what airspaces are around me by looking at the clean charts and the vertical profile of my current position and planned route.. i find all these informations to be fare more useful than to have a bitmap version of the icao charts that can't even rotate the text on the chart when showing in-flight information with the charts oriented by heading rather than north.

so bottom line: a real swiss icao stlye chart would clutter up the display with information i can get far better organized in other places in skydemon. that's my oppinion.

also as far as i understand these chart styles, they can only change the basic color scheme, but not what information is displayed and how it is shown on screen.. so if there was a swiss ICAO stlye, it would probably show some more familiar colors, but not the boxes with airspace lmits or higher contrast terrain, mountain pass routes and route levels that distinguish the swiss icao charts from other charts.

i used the icao maps during my flight training and i now keep them with me as a backup but i prefer the skydemon style vector charts which can take full advantage of the possibility to dynamicly show what's important rather than showing everything at once throughout the flight and also for planning my trips.

kind regards
Pascal

Pascal, hits the nail on the head
It really about the basic colors for the elevation in the map.

Thanks again to Pascal for the comprehensive comment

cheers
Serge

I just took a look at a paper Switzerland chart we have here in the office, and the elevation colours do not seem very different to the SkyDemon 2 chart style, which is designed to show mountainous terrain well. They are different, sure, but not very different.
I would quite like to make the selection of terrain colours different to the selection of chart style, but there isn't much call for it to be honest so I don't know if it will ever get done.

We did spend considerable effort a while back adding things like mountain passes and GAFOR routes to our Swiss chart, so if you think we're missing anything useful, do let us know.
